Round Times to a Standard Schedule

Employee Setup

A schedule may be referred to for rounding punch times.  Multiple rounding rules are available, both standard and custom.

Note: The Schedule function operates as a reference time for the current rounding rule.  The round-to-schedule application will occur in the same fashion on a daily basis.  All punches will be rounded to the designated scheduling times, assuming the clock entry is within the allotment of the current rounding rule. Only one scheduling should be set for an employee. 

Note also: A set schedule will not automatically clock an employee in or out, it will round their activity times to the designated times.

 

Step 1

Entering a rounding schedule is accomplished in the employee's personal setup file.  To access the file, click on the Employee Setup  link from the Main Menu  (see illustration.

 

 

Step 2 From the setup screen you may operate in one of three ways: add new  employee record; work with an individual employee by clicking on the desired name or work with multiple employees simultaneously by checking each individual's corresponding check-box along with the work with selected employees button provided below the table (see illustration above).

Step 3
To establish a rounding schedule, enter start and end times for the employee. The system can round to those times.

Example Entry:: 8:30am-12:00pm,12:30pm-5:00pm (see illustration).

Call your service provider to adjust rounding flexibility

 

Step 4
The changes will be available once saved.
