Freeze / Unfreeze Punches

System Utility

Frozen  or unfrozen  defines whether or not pay periods and punches from previous records may be changed by administrative alterations such as rounding, script or pay frequency rules.   

Note: When applying changes to an account, both future and past records will be altered, according to the new settings.  If changes to previous pay periods or specific employees are unwanted, the appropriate records must be frozen  to be protected.   

Warning: When unfreezing  date ranges, the old settings will be lost and the current account settings will be applied the previously frozen records.

 
Step 1

The Freeze/Unfreeze Punches  link is accessed in the Administration menu of the Main Menu  (see illustration 1.1 and 1.2).  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2 The Freeze/Unfreeze Punches  link will display an action questionnaire in order to specify the date ranges and employees in need of being either frozen or unfrozen (see illustration above).
 

Step 3
Complete the questionnaire and click Start Now  to execute the request.  Warning:  Unfreezing punches or date ranges will cause previously protected settings to be lost for those days.

 

Step 4
Submit the changes by selecting the start now button. The update will be available once the user logs-out and then logs-in back in again.
